Lenoir Community College's athletic department has once again demonstrated its commitment to both athletic and academic excellence. This year, eight Lancers' student-athletes have been recognized on the NJCAA All-Academic Teams, an accolade that acknowledges their dedication to their academic responsibilities alongside their athletic pursuits.

In a battle that spanned three days and shifted between three locations due to intermittent rain delays, #4 seed Kinston Post 43 emerged victorious over #1 seed Wilson Post 13, winning 7-5 on Saturday.
The Kinston Wingmen couldn't keep up with the Brunswick Surfin’ Turfs, falling 10-0 in a game cut short by heavy rain in the sixth inning on Friday.

Game one stopped early due to rain will continue today at Kinston High School. Game two will start 30 minutes after game one.
"Working at North Lenoir has been a dream come true for the last 7 years. The former and current players have given me everything I could ever hope for as a coach," Jackson Massey stated in his departure announcement. "With that being said, I have decided to step down and move my career in a different direction."
The four potential new names, listed in alphabetical order, are the Cardinals, Ironclads, Loch Neuse Monsters, and Wingmen. The names reflect various aspects of Kinston and Lenoir County's rich history and culture, from the local wildlife to the area's storied past.
North Lenoir's cheerleading coach, LaPorcha Gardner, and family is all set to launch SupaStarz Athletics, a youth-focused athletic facility in LaGrange, NC. The grand opening is slated for August 19th, with a website launch on July 5th, promising a new hub for local youth activities.
