In a dominant display, Northside shut out Jones Sr. with a final score of 40-0 in their conference matchup. Northside came into the game with a record of (5-2, 2-0), aiming to maintain their undefeated streak in conference play, while Jones Sr. entered the contest with a record of (0-7, 0-2), hoping to secure their first win of the season.
The South Lenoir Blue Devils traveled to Beulaville for a conference matchup with the East Duplin Panthers on Friday evening. Unfortunately, the Blue Devils were defeated by the Panthers 54-0, bringing their season record to 1-8.

The North Lenoir Hawks JV team hosted the James Kenan JV Tigers on Thursday evening, suffering a 46-8 loss. The defeat dropped the Hawks to a 1-8 record for the season, while the Tigers maintained their flawless 7-0 record.
The Greene Central Junior Varsity football team continued their undefeated streak, moving to an 8-0 record for the season and 4-0 in the conference following a stunning 56-0 victory against West Craven at home.
The 2023 Eastern Plains Conference Tournament unfolded on the courts of Greene Central today, witnessing a stellar display of tennis prowess, primarily from the hosts. Greene Central High School (GC) clinched the top spot with a score of 11, trailed by Farmville Central (FC) at 6 and Ayden-Grifton (AG) at 4. Washington (W) and North Pitt (NP) rounded off the scoreboard with 3 and 0 points, respectively.
Greene County Middle School (GC) secured a victory against Ayden Middle School with a score of 14-8 on their home ground in Snow Hill. This win propels GC to a 2-0 standing in the conference and an unblemished 4-0 on the season.

The Greene Central High School women's tennis team has made history by clinching their 30th consecutive conference championship, breaking the North Carolina state record. The Rams sealed this monumental achievement with an 8-1 non-conference victory over C.B. Aycock, concluding their regular season with a 17-2 overall record and an unblemished 8-0 in conference play.
