Greene Central multi-sport standout Deitrich “DJ” Williams captured gold in the Boys National Elite High Jump at the 2025 Adidas Outdoor Nationals, clearing 6'6.74" without a single scratch. Representing Revelation Peak Performance Track Club under veteran coach Reese Owens, Williams showcased the focus, power, and polish of a national champion. Now, with the USATF Region 3 Junior Olympics up next, he’s just one meet away from the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Savannah. A high flyer on the rise, Williams continues to prove he’s one of the elite youth athletes in the country—on the track, in the gym, and under the lights.

Kyonna Kelly to Host Free Girls Basketball Camp Saturday at Kinston High

Former Kinston High School standout Kyonna Kelly is once again using the game she loves to empower the next generation.

This Saturday, June 21, Kelly will host a free girls basketball camp from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kinston High School(2601 North Queen Street).
