North Lenoir Claims Conference Title at East Central Cheer Competition

JACKSONVILLE — The 2A East Central Conference Cheer Competition brought energy and excitement to Southwest Onslow High School on November 16th. Teams from James Kenan, Kinston, South Lenoir, North Lenoir, Wallace-Rose Hill, East Duplin, and Southwest Onslow showcased their routines in a fierce battle for conference supremacy.

It was North Lenoir who stole the show, earning the title of Conference Champions with a stellar performance. The Hawks also celebrated an individual honor, as JayShaynna Kittrell was named Cheerleader of the Year, recognizing her exceptional talent and leadership.

East Duplin finished as the runner-up, delivering a strong performance of their own. Their head coach was honored with the prestigious Coach of the Year award, acknowledging their dedication and impact on the program.
